Collection on Family Education and Rights to Privacy
The Collection on Family Education and Rights to Privacy consists of university policies and procedures, newspaper clippings, a magazine, correspondence within Indiana State University (ISU) and with other universities, text of the 1974 FERPA law, sample and proposed forms for disclosure of student records, records surveys of the Registrar's office, and legal opinions regarding compliance with the law. The collection is a subject file from an office containing opinions, research on and suggested procedures on how to handle the implementation of FERPA at ISU.

Most inter-office communications and memos are addressed to William Osman, the Associate Registrar, but archives staff cannot conclusively determine the office of origin of the collection.
