  • Scope and Contents

    This collection contains records accumulated by the Office of the President that are not specifically tied to any particular president of Indiana State University.  These materials may have been used in the office by members of a president's staff. General files contain information covering the entire range of dates including inauguration information, faculty salaries, public relations and marketing, and individual reference materials useful for the office staff.   There are agendas and reports on the work of the Faculty Senate, specifically the Executive Committee, on which the president served as an ex officio member. There are agendas and reports on the meetings of the Board of Trustees in which a president participated. There are published reports put out by the university including financial reports, self-study reports, and other published  collections of information that could be used in a president's office. There are copies of correspondence from the president's office from 1985 ot 1987.  There are agendas and reports on meetings of the Indiana Commission for Higher Education that a president would attend.  There are personnel files and files on higher-ranking administrator searches.  There are historical on the files relating to Indiana State University at Evansville, now the University of Southwestern Indiana, and the relationship with the North Central Association accrediting agency.  There are also files on travel. Some of these materials are private and require the permission of the Archivist to employ.
