The Richard Pierard Papers consist of enrollment figures documents, human relations committee files, religious program pamphlets and documents, documents from the student academic affairs committee, a number of newspaper articles from the Tribune Star Newspaper, and pictures from the 1985 History Day event.
The enrollment figures series consists of primarily of reports on enrollment figures between each academic department. These figures also include information on grade distribution and teaching staff information.
The event series consists of photographs and newspaper articles from the 1985 History day. This series also contains a number of newspapers following the events on campus from the 1960s to the 1970s. This series also contains a variety of files and documents relating to integration of African Americans in Indiana schools, as well as, housing segregation.
The Human Relations Committee series consists of meeting minutes, human relations files, documentation on African Americans in higher education, panel notes, and a number of pamphlets on African American housing within certain areas of the United States.
The religion program series consists of a number of church newsletters, Christian pamphlets, and documents pertaining to the concept of offering religious education in schools.
The Student Academic Affairs Committee series consists primarily of housing contract negotiations, meeting minutes, student employee handbooks, a student rights constitution, and letters between committee members. The Tribune Star series consists of a number of articles relating to Indiana State University, the Terre Haute Community, and various scholars. These series consists of a number of original and scanned copies.
