Biographical or Historical Information
The Cooperative Professional Practice Program, known as Co-op for short, integrates on the job experiences which are not available in the classroom with classroom experiences. The Co-op program allows employers to gain access to job prospects for permanent hire upon graduation. Although many programs operated under this assumption, not all co-op employers guarenteed permanent hire upon graduation. Those who did not, were involved as a way to give students real world experience in their field of study.
