Scope and Contents

The Student Activities and Organizations Records consists of administrative files that contain items such as personnel files, desk calenders, correspondence, memorandums, and personal files kept by faculty and staff such as notes and messages. There are also administrative files kept by Paul Edgerton, former Vice President of Academic Affairs and Richard Melloh, Former Associate Vice President of Student Affairs. Student files may also be found here as well. There are recordings of conduct case hearings from the university as well as case files for the university court of appeals. You will also find information concerning the judicial review board and its policies and procedures for disciplinary action taken by the university. There are records for student organizations on campus such as Greek life and campus ministries between 1950-2005. These records contain information on the official name of the club or organization, what they do, and lists of people to get in contact with concerning the organization. You will also find official positions held by students in the organization as well as any activities the students may have hosted. Finally, there are records containing budgeting and fundraising information for most of the organizations found with in this collection. Also found in the student life collection are records, budgeting materials, and correspondence from advisory committees dealing with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Student Affairs, Financial Aid, and the Rehabilitation Act Access Committee (RAAC) which oversees physical changes completed and those to be completed to provide programs and services for persons with disabilities. The Spring Week series contains a booklet detailing the history of Spring Week from 1970 as well as the year's contestants and times for the tandem bicycle race. Finally, there are general subject files that are in alphabetical order dealing with subjects ranging from the Alcohol Education Task Force to the Student Government Association.
