The College of Education Records consists of personnel files, publications, general office files, National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) documents, American Psychological Association (APA) accreditation, Indiana State University (ISU) self-study reports, Educational Student Services Teacher Certifications, and the Indiana Institute on Recycling.
The publications are made up of four titles including Teacher College Journals, Contemporary Education Journals, Curriculum Research and Development Bulletins on Studies in Curriculum Development, and The Indiana Recycler. The publications are accompanied by author’s release and permission to quote forms.
The general office files chronicle documents such as academic service plans, continuing education for teachers, General Education Task Force reports, Gifted and Talented proposal, Head Start, Microcomputer proposal, ISU Mission Statement, North Central Regional Educational Laboratory (NCREL) Full Service Plan 1985-1989, off-campus teaching, and faculty/administrative/secretarial salaries from 1983-1986. The committee and visitations section of the general office files offers correspondence and reports from the Teacher Education Committee, State Department of Public Instruction (DPI), records of DPI Visits, data on the teacher licensing and training commission.
The NCATE sector includes, but is not limited to, the 1983-1985 University School (a laboratory for teachers and related professions) status reports, ISU Operating Budget Request from 1987-1989, North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary School's Evaluation Team Reports. Also housed within the NCATE section of general office files are the American Psychological Association's accreditation of ISU's doctoral program in school psychology, correspondence concerning full accreditation of ISU's doctoral program in Counseling Psychology/(Special Needs) Speech and Hearing Impairment program/Clinical Psychology degree program and ISU's Self-Study report on accreditation. The Educational Student Services includes certification checklists and evaluations for future teachers from the College of Education.
The Indiana Institute on Recycling consists of newsletters and a report. The newsletter "The Indiana Recycler" printed articles related to recycling and waste management throughout the state of Indiana. The report comparatively lists the costs of operation of recycling and waste management utilities in many communities throughout Indiana.
