The Linnaeus N. Hines Papers are comprised largely of correspondence, with some printed materials, reports, and photographs dating from 1921 to 1934. In addition to the papers from the Office of the President, there are a few items which date from his term as State Superintendent of Public Instruction and his years as Director of Extension and Placement at Indiana State Teachers College.

The Papers of William Wood Parsons constitute some of the oldest surviving records of Indiana State University and comprise a diverse collection accrued during his tenure as president of Indiana State Normal School. The majority of the institutional records date from 1888‐1889. Most of the school’s records predating this year were destroyed by a fire which devastated the institution in April of 1888.
